Job Description: Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Hazmat Driver to join our team. As a CDL Hazmat Driver, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials and ensuring that they are delivered safely and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Transport hazardous materials in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Ensure that all required documentation, including shipping manifests and bills of lading, are completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the maintenance department.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and ensure that all equipment is properly secured.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers via phone, radio, or other means.
- Manage time effectively and plan routes that minimize travel time and maximize efficiency.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, even in stressful or difficult situations.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license with Hazmat endorsement.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles.
- Clean driving record and no history of accidents or violations.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to hazardous materials transportation.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
