Dry ice is extremely cold. Not as cold as liquified gas, and not as cold as the coldest surface temperatures recorded on earth; but still cold enough to cause serious skin damage and cryoburns.
Note: Always handle dry ice with thick leather gloves and avoid touching it with any exposed skin as it can burn you very fast.
If your hands or gloves are wet, do not attempt to touch dry ice as it will almost instantly freeze the water.
